
Propaganda is simply information designed to promote a particular viewpoint – and by that definition, nearly all media is propaganda. The difference isn't whether content has a perspective (it always does), but whether that perspective is transparent, fact-based, and serves constructive purposes.
The stigma around the word “propaganda” has made us forget that influence and persuasion aren't inherently evil – they're how societies communicate values, share knowledge, and inspire action. What matters is the quality of the information, the honesty about intent, and whether the influence serves human flourishing. Being upfront about trying to influence people is actually more ethical than pretending to be objective while subtly trying to shape opinions anyway.
At AMPR, we believe the United States is the greatest place in the world. Opinion? yeah. Bias? some, maybe. But our job is to persuade you to agree. And through this publication, we intend to do just that.
